d. 12/1/1973 at 7:45am in home, Eight brothers and three sisters predeceased her.
"In May 1951, Mrs. Shannon was honored in special ceremonies on Public Square as being the Jefferson County mother with the most living children. The contest was sponsored by the retail policy committee of the Chamber of Commerece.
She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church and the God Star Mothers."

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a bomber crew chief with the rank of sergeant.
The couple lived at Adams Center, NY and Watertown before moving to Buffalo, where Mr. Shannon owned a mobile home service and repair business.
Died 11/4/1995 at age 78 at Wesley Health Care Center, Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
Memorial serivce held 11/21/1995 at 1pm at Hope Presbyeterian Church with the Rev. Steven Jelensperger, Pastor of the Dexter and Chamont Presbyterian churches, officiating. The body was cremated.

Individual Note: John went to work for Niagara Mohawk Power Co. in Watertown, NY, on
Apr 1, 1929. He was later transferred to Clayton where he worked as a lineman and general foreman until his retirement in 1970 after 41 years of service.
Honored by 140 fellow Niagara Mohawk employees, friends and relatives a a retirement dinner Friday at McCormick's resturant. He joined Niagara Mohawk on April 1, 1929, as a groundman. He worked in Watertown until Oct 7, 1937, when he as transferred to Clayton as a lineman.
M/M Shannon resided in Clayton from 1938 to 1985. He entered the Madonna Home June 13, 1988.
Member of Clayton Knights of Columbus Council 350.
