"For 30 years she was a nurse, including service at the former Mercy Hospital where she was head nurse of the coronary care unit. She had helped design and develop that unit. Before going to Florida, she was the emergency-room supervisor at Mercy and had been head of the coronary care unit since 1983 at Humana Hospital, Dade City, FL."
"She was a member of the Dexter Rescue Squad for 15 years while she lived in Dexter and worked at Mercy Hospital."
