        H.R. No. 17 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A 55th wedding anniversary is truly cause for significant milestone in 2003 with a special celebration in the company of their family and friends; and WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson and the former Margaret Bissell were married on June 12, 1948, at First Presbyterian Church; over the course of five decades, the Andersons have enjoyed a happy and fulfilling relationship that has been blessed with a fine family, which includes two children, Kenneth Anderson and Karen Anderson, and five grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Anderson has been a dedicated homemaker throughout their marriage, while Mr. Anderson is a geologist with W. D. Anderson and Sons; respected members of their community, the couple are valued congregants of Trinity Presbyterian Church; and WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have shared the trials and triumphs of more than half a century, and their commitment to each other gladdens the hearts of their loved ones; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Paul and Margaret Anderson on the occasion of their 55th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Anderson as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.

..."In 1942 she moved to Midland from Rhode Island and on June 12, 1948 married Paul D. Anderson in Midland. Peggy received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Texas. Peggy had battled Multiple Sclerosis since 1965. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Her other memberships included Alpha Phi Sorority and Junior League of Midland and she also sang with the Midland Symphony Chorale."
