     3/10/99
Barrett Sansom (22) was shot 3 times 3/9/1999. Two shots lodged in his back. One shot entered his right abdoment, travelled through tne kidney, his spleen, his stomach, his liver, his heart, his lung and out his shoulder. He was brought to Houston's Ben Taub hospital which is reputable as one of the best trauma hospitals in the world. He has already had two surgeries and is sort of stabilized. He has lost part of the kidney, his spleen has been removed, and I believe part of the liver was removed. The other areas have been repaired. He is in ICU in very critical condition.

After many complicated surgeries and therapies and being in and out of the hospital, Barrett died.
