Blond Brownies (Aunt Marion's Recipe)
Obtained from note left to Patricia by Marion's
sister Bernice.

Ingredients
1 cup Margarine, Spread 70% Vegetable Oil
2 1/2 cup Sugar, Light Brown
2 1/3 cup Flour, cake, enriched, bleached
5 egg Egg, whole, raw, fresh
Final Items:
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt, table
2 tbs Vanilla extract
Instructions for Preparation
Slowly melt margarine. Then add packed brown sugar (1
lb box). Cook until shinny. Remove from heat and slowly add flour.
Slowly blend in (one at a time) eggs. Stir in Final Items. Put in
greased (not floured) 13" x 9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees 28-30
minutes. Test with tooth pick--if it comes out clean its done. Let
cool. Cut into 20 portions. |

Instructions for Preparation
Melt margarine. Add light brown sugar and cook until
shinny and smooth on low heat. Pour into bowl and add eggs. Beat
until blended. Add sifted flour. Add Final Ingredients and pour into
9" greased pan. Cook in oven at 325 degrees about 45 minutes. Don't
over cook. Cool on rack. Then cut into squares. |
